A brief introduction of PE packaging material

Brief Description:

PE is a typical thermoplastic, a non-odorous, odorless, non-toxic, flammable white powder. The molded polyethylene resin is made of waxy granule extruded by extrusion granules, and the appearance is milky white.

The molecular weight of polyethylene is between 10,000 and 1 million, with a molecular weight of more than 1 million for ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The higher the molecular weight, the better the physical mechanical properties, but with the increase of molecular weight, the processing performance decreases. Therefore, the appropriate molecular weight and processing conditions should be selected according to the usage.

High molecular weight polyethylene is a processing structure material and load material, while low molecular weight polyethylene is suitable for coating, glazing agent, lubricant and softener. The mechanical properties of polyethylene depend largely on the molecular weight, branching degree and crystallinity of the complex. The tensile strength of hdpe is 20~25 MPa, while the tensile strength of low density polyethylene is only 10~12 MPa. The elongation of polyethylene depends on density, density and crystallinity.

The electrical insulation of polyethylene is excellent.Because it is non-insulating material, its dielectric and dielectric loss are almost independent of temperature and frequency.

High frequency performance is suitable for the manufacture of various high frequency cable and submarine cable insulation layer.
